How to Request Deletion of Your Data
Last updated: October 15, 2026
CDL PowerSuite LLC (“CDL PowerSuite,” “we,” “us”) provides software and training for CDL schools, carriers, and drivers. This page explains what information we may hold about you, what we can delete, what we cannot delete and why, and exactly how to ask.
If you only want the short version: email info@cdlpowersuite.com with the subject line “Delete my data.” The rest of this page explains what will happen.
Start here — the answer depends on which kind of data you mean
We hold three different kinds of information, and they have three different answers. Find yourself below.

Most requests are the first row, and those are straightforward.
What information we may have
1. Lead generation and marketing
- Lead forms, including Facebook and Instagram lead forms, Google forms, landing pages, and forms on cdlpowersuite.com and eldt.com: your name, phone number, email address, company or school name, job title, fleet or class size, program of interest, and any answers you provided.
- Messages you send to us on social media — including Facebook Messenger, Instagram direct messages, Facebook and Instagram page messages, and LinkedIn — and our replies. This includes the text of those messages, the date and time of each one, any attachment or image you send, and the profile name or handle the platform gives us so we can reply to the right conversation.
- Calls, texts, and emails with our team: notes, call records, call outcomes, appointment and demo bookings, and any recordings where we told you at the time that the call was being recorded.
- Email and SMS engagement: whether a message was delivered, opened, or clicked, and whether you unsubscribed or replied STOP.
- How you found us: referral source, campaign and ad identifiers, and the link or page you arrived through.
- Event and webinar registrations, and survey or testimonial submissions.
2. Sales, account, and support records
- Demo and sales records: who we spoke with, what was discussed, proposals and quotes, and pricing conversations.
- Contract and subscription records: order forms, purchase orders, subscription tier, seat and driver counts, start and renewal dates.
- Billing records: billing contact, invoices, payment status, and tax documentation. We do not store full payment card numbers — card and bank details go directly to our payment processor.
- Support records: tickets, chat transcripts, emails, and the notes our team takes while helping you.
3. Training and compliance records in the CDL PowerSuite platform
This is the largest category, and it is almost always held on behalf of a school, academy, carrier, college, school district, or agency — not for us.
- Who you are: name and any former names, mailing and residential address including the three-year address history federal rules require, phone, email, date of birth, and your student or employee ID.
- Government identifiers: Social Security number; commercial driver’s license or commercial learner’s permit number, class, endorsements, restrictions, expiration date, and issuing state.
- Driver qualification file contents: your employment application, inquiries sent to previous employers, your motor vehicle record and annual review of driving record, road test certificates, and accident history.
- Medical and health-related records: your DOT medical examiner’s certificate, the examiner’s name and National Registry number, certification expiration and restrictions, Skill Performance Evaluation certificates, and any supporting medical or accommodation documents your organization uploaded.
- Drug and alcohol program records: whether an FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query was run and consented to, the result, pre-employment testing status, and return-to-duty or follow-up testing status.
- Background and driving record reports: motor vehicle records, Pre-Employment Screening Program reports, background check results, and the disclosure and authorization forms behind them.
- Training and evaluation records: courses and lessons assigned and completed, time spent, quiz and knowledge-check answers and scores, behind-the-wheel range and road hours, the instructor or evaluator involved, proficiency scores across the six skill areas, written evaluator comments, remediation assigned, road test results, and entry-level driver training certifications reported to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.
- Signatures and attestations: every document you signed electronically, the date and time, the version you signed, and the IP address it was signed from.
- Uploaded documents and images: PDFs, scans, and photographs attached to your file.
- Messages you exchanged with your school’s or employer’s staff inside the platform.
- Enrollment records: the enrollment or tuition agreement you accepted through the platform, its version, and the date.
4. eldt.com purchases
- Your account profile and login credentials.
- Purchase and payment records, and any refund history.
- Course progress, quiz results, completions, and certificates, including any entry-level driver training certification reported to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry.
5. Website and technical information
- IP address, approximate city or region derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, language, and time zone.
- Pages viewed, features used, links clicked, session length, referring and exit pages, and error reports.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Security and audit records: sign-in events, failed login attempts, permission changes, and a log of who viewed, changed, or exported a record. See “What we keep even after deleting” below.
6. Job applicants and personnel
If you applied to work at CDL PowerSuite: your application, résumé, interview notes, references, and any assessment results.
What we cannot delete, and why
We would rather tell you this up front than surprise you after you ask.
Federal motor carrier rules set minimum retention periods. If you drove or trained under them, these records must be kept for a set time even if you ask us to delete them:
RecordMinimum retentionRuleDriver qualification fileDuration of employment + 3 years49 C.F.R. § 391.51(c)Entry-level driver training records3 years from the date each record is created or received49 C.F.R. § 380.725DOT medical examiner’s certificate3 years49 C.F.R. § 391.51(b)(6)Prior-employer safety performance investigationDuration of employment + 3 years49 C.F.R. § 391.53(c)Drug and alcohol tests — negative results1 year49 C.F.R. § 382.401(b)(3)Drug and alcohol tests — positive results or refusals5 years49 C.F.R. § 382.401(b)(1)Clearinghouse query records3 years49 C.F.R. § 382.701(e)
Other limits:
- Your records may belong to your school or employer. For training and driver records, that organization decides what happens to them. We will tell you who to contact and pass your request along.
- Tax, accounting, and audit records are retained as long as the law requires.
- Records under a legal hold — active litigation, an investigation, or a regulatory audit — are preserved until it ends.
- Disputes about a motor vehicle record or background check go to the company that produced the report, not to us. We will tell you which company that was.
When any of this applies, we will tell you specifically which records are affected, which rule requires keeping them, when the period ends, and what portion of your request we did complete.
How to ask
Pick whichever is easiest:
Email: info@cdlpowersuite.com with the subject line “Delete my data”
Mail: Privacy Request, CDL PowerSuite LLC, 3620 N Eden Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99216
Social media: message us on Facebook Messenger, an Instagram direct message, or our Facebook or Instagram page, and say you want your data deleted
Phone: 1-509-931-1112
Please include, so we can find you and confirm it’s really you:
- Your full name, and any other name your records might be under
- The phone number and email address you used with us
- If you trained or drove: the name of the school, academy, or company
- If you bought a course on eldt.com: the email on the account
- What you want deleted — everything, or just a specific category
You do not need an account to make a request, and you will not be charged.
Someone can make the request for you. If you use an authorized agent, we will ask for your written permission and will verify your identity directly with you, unless your agent holds a valid power of attorney.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request within 10 business days.
- We verify it’s you. For account holders, that is usually a confirmation to the email address on file. Otherwise we match two or three details already in our records. We use what you send for verification only for verification.
- We tell you which category your data falls into — ours to delete, your school’s or employer’s to decide, or subject to a retention rule.
- We complete what we can within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why before the 45 days are up, and take no more than 45 additional days. If we are passing your request to a school or carrier, we will tell you who and when.
- We confirm in writing when it’s done, including anything we could not delete and why.
What we keep even after deleting
Being straightforward about this, because “delete everything” is rarely literally possible:
- A minimal suppression record — usually just a one-way scrambled version of your email address or phone number. We keep this so that if your details appear on a future marketing list, you are not added back. It cannot be used to contact you or to rebuild your profile. If you would rather we delete this too, say so and we will, but we then cannot guarantee you won’t be re-added later from another source.
- Security and audit logs. Records of who accessed, changed, or exported data are kept because their integrity is the whole point of having them, and because they protect you. They are access-restricted and are not used for marketing.
- Backups. Deletion takes effect immediately in our live systems. Backup copies cannot be edited individually; a deleted record is removed from backups as the backup containing it ages out of our normal backup rotation, and it is not restored if we ever have to restore from a backup.
- Anything a law requires us to keep, as described above.
Other things you can ask for
Deletion is one option. You can also ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- Send you a portable copy in a machine-readable format
- Correct something inaccurate
- Stop marketing to you — reply STOP to a text, click unsubscribe in an email, or just tell us
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of your information. We do not sell personal information, but you are welcome to confirm that preference and we will record it.
Use the same contact details above.
If we say no
If we deny your request in whole or in part, we will explain why in writing. You can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing info@cdlpowersuite.com with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days. If we still deny it, we will tell you how to contact your state Attorney General.
You will not be penalized for making a request. It will not affect your enrollment, your training, your scores, your qualification, your employment, or your account.
Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger data
If you contacted us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form or ad, a Facebook or Instagram page message, Facebook Messenger, or an Instagram direct message, that information is covered by everything above. To have it deleted, email info@cdlpowersuite.com with “Delete my data,” or just reply in the Messenger or direct-message conversation and tell us you want your data deleted. We will delete the lead record, the full text of the message conversation on our side, any attachments you sent, and any contact record we created from it.
If you ever connected to us using Facebook Login or granted one of our apps access to your account, you can remove that access from Settings → Apps and Websites in your Facebook or Instagram account. Note that submitting a lead form or sending us a page message is not an app permission, so there is nothing to revoke there — those you remove by contacting us. Either way, removing access only stops future sharing; you still need to ask us to delete what we already hold.
We keep the text of social media and Messenger conversations, and the lead records created from them, for 3 years from the date of the last message in the conversation, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a law requires us to keep it longer.
